I claimed the Rivo welcome package on my very first deposit. I paid in £100, got £100 in bonus money plus the free spins, and spent the next week of evenings working through the wagering. Everything on this page comes from that week and the months since.

The package itself is simple. A 100% match on your first deposit up to £200, plus 100 free spins. The minimum deposit is £20, and the 35x wagering applies to the bonus money only, not to your deposit. That last detail matters more than people think, and I'll show you why in pounds.

I'll also cover what happens after the welcome offer is used up, because Rivo keeps the extras coming for regular players.

  • 100% Deposit match
  • £200 Maximum bonus
  • 100 Free spins
  • 35x Wagering on the bonus

What the Rivo welcome package gives you

Deposit at least £20 with the welcome offer selected and Rivo matches it pound for pound, up to £200. Put in £50 and you play with £100. Put in £200 or more and you get the full £200 bonus on top.

The 100 free spins come with the same deposit. Mine showed up in the bonus section a few minutes after the money cleared, ready on the slot named in the offer. I didn't need a code.

My account showed the cash balance and the bonus balance separately, with a progress bar for the wagering. That made it easy to see where I stood after every session.

The numbers follow the current welcome terms: 100% match up to £200, 35x wagering on the bonus amount only, £20 minimum deposit. The 100 free spins are counted separately.

How I claimed it, step by step

The one thing that matters is the order. The bonus has to be selected before you confirm the payment, not afterwards.

This is exactly what I did on my first deposit, and it worked first time.

  1. Signed up and confirmed my email address.
  2. Opened the cashier and picked Skrill.
  3. Ticked the welcome bonus in the bonus box above the amount.
  4. Typed £100 and confirmed the payment in Skrill.
  5. Opened the bonus section and found £100 bonus plus the free spins waiting.

Look at the bonus box after you pick your payment method. It tells you straight away whether the offer applies to that method, so there's no surprise later.

My welcome bonus numbers at different deposits

What the 100% match and 35x wagering on the bonus look like at the deposits players ask me about most.

Deposit Bonus added Wagering at 35x Spins at £1
£20 £20 £700 700
£50 £50 £1,750 1,750
£100 £100 £3,500 3,500
£200 £200 £7,000 7,000
£300 £200 £7,000 7,000

Any deposit above £200 still gets the £200 maximum bonus, and the 100 free spins come on top in every case.

35x on the bonus, worked out in pounds

35x on the bonus means you multiply the bonus amount by 35, not your deposit plus bonus. My £100 bonus meant £3,500 in total bets before the bonus and its winnings turned into cash I could withdraw.

At the bottom end, a £20 deposit brings a £20 bonus and £700 of wagering. At the top, a £200 bonus needs £7,000. At £1 a spin that's 700 spins for the smallest deposit and 7,000 for the biggest, which is a lot of evenings.

I played at 50p to £1 a spin over about a week. I finished with £140 in my cash balance from £100 of my own money. Not life changing, but a solid result for a welcome bonus.

Run your own deposit and stake through the calculator on this page. Seeing the spin count up front stopped me from depositing more than I was willing to clear.

The 100 free spins and what I won

The free spins were my favourite part, purely because they cost me nothing. I played all 100 in one go on my phone during a lunch break.

They returned £14.60, which went into my bonus balance. Spin winnings carry wagering too, so they simply joined the pot I was already clearing.

The spins do expire, so I wouldn't leave them sitting around for a week. The countdown is shown right in the bonus section.

Deposited £50 with Skrill. Played Book of Dead, £1 spins. Dead for 30 spins, then bonus paid 60x. Balance £180. Moved to Big Bass Splash, £0.50 spins. Bonus after 20 spins, 45x. Balance £220. Withdrew £180 via Skrill. KYC already done. Money arrived in about a day. No fees.

Which games actually move the wagering

Slots are where wagering moves. Most of them count in full, so every £1 spin takes £1 off the target. While clearing I stuck to Big Bass Splash, Book of Dead and Gates of Olympus.

Live tables and blackjack contribute far less while a bonus is active, sometimes nothing at all. A few slots and bonus buy features are also off limits with bonus money, and the bonus terms list them by name.

My advice is boring but it works. Pick two or three slots you enjoy that count in full, set a stake you're comfortable with, and grind it out over several nights.

After the welcome offer: cashback, reloads and the crab

Once the welcome package was done, Rivo didn't go quiet. I get weekly cashback, reload offers on some deposits, and free spins from challenges and the bonus crab.

None of these are huge on their own, but they add up across a month. The cashback in particular has softened a couple of rough weeks on the roulette tables.

  • Weekly cashback credited in the account area
  • Reload bonuses on selected days
  • Free spins and small cash prizes from the bonus crab
  • Perks that grow with each VIP level
  • Prizes for top places in slot tournaments

Mistakes I made so you don't have to

My biggest mistake: three days into wagering I got bored and played live blackjack with the bonus active. The progress bar barely moved. Twenty minutes and £30 of play for almost nothing.

My near miss: on a hot streak I started nudging my stake up and only remembered the max bet rule because the terms were still open in another tab. Going over it while a bonus is active can cost you the bonus.

  • Ticking the bonus after paying instead of before
  • Depositing under £20 and getting no bonus
  • Playing live tables while wagering
  • Going over the max bet while the bonus is active
  • Withdrawing before wagering is done, which cancels the bonus

If you mostly play live, think about skipping the bonus. I do that now on reloads whenever I know I'm heading straight to the roulette tables.

Questions players ask me

What is the Rivo welcome bonus?

A 100% match on your first deposit up to £200, plus 100 free spins. I got £100 bonus on my £100 deposit and the spins arrived a few minutes later.

How does the 35x wagering work?

You bet 35 times the bonus amount before it turns into withdrawable cash.

My £100 bonus needed £3,500 in bets. The deposit itself isn't part of that figure.

What is the minimum deposit for the bonus?

£20. Anything below that goes into your balance as normal, but the welcome offer won't trigger.

When do the free spins arrive?

Mine appeared in the bonus section a few minutes after my deposit cleared. They have an expiry, so I played them the same day.

Can I play live casino while the bonus is active?

You can, but I wouldn't. Live games barely count towards wagering, and I wasted £30 of play finding that out. I keep live tables for cash sessions.

Do I need a bonus code?

I didn't. I just ticked the welcome offer in the cashier before confirming my deposit.

What happens if I withdraw before finishing the wagering?

The bonus and any winnings from it are removed. Your own cash is still yours, but the bonus part goes, so I always finish the wagering first.

Do I get anything after the welcome offer?

Yes. I get weekly cashback, reload offers on some days, free spins from the bonus crab and challenges, and VIP perks as my level climbs.
